Acupuncture
Medical Acupuncture is the biomedical adaptation of Chinese acupuncture methods, and is an effective
and simple treatment approach based on current concepts of neurophysiology, neuroanatomy, and pathophysiology.
Medical Acupuncture involves insertion of solid needles at relevant points on the body in combination with manual
needle stimulation or electrical stimulation. The anatomical points that are relevant to the condition are selected
for needling. The benefits of acupuncture can include, but are not limited to:

Chiropractic
Chiropractic is one of the largest primary-contact health-care professions in Canada. Each year millions of Canadians seek chiropractic care for a variety of neuromusculoskeletal conditions and injuries. Chiropractic is a regulated health profession recognized by statute in all Canadian provinces. Chiropractic involves the diagnosis and treatment of neuromusculoskeletal conditions. The most common causes of nerve, joint and muscle injuries in the general population are the repetitive, poor patterns of posture and work. Chiropractors use hands-on adjustments and soft-tissue techniques to optimize joint, muscle and other soft-tissue function. Rehabilitative exercises further help to reinforce correct posture and muscle function. This prepares you to meet the physical challenges at work and sport with the goal of regaining full, pain-free movement and function as well as prevent future episodes.
Massage
Our Registered Massage Therapists are trained in a variety of different techniques, from deep tissue, pregnancy, sports massage to relaxation massage. The overall focus of each massage is providing relief from pain and an overall sense of well-being. Massage therapy can provide relief for the following conditions: Headaches/migraines, muscle tension, fibromyalgia, strains/sprains, digestive disorders, stress, and more.
Myofacial Release
Myofascial release is an advanced system of diagnosis and manual treatment for soft-tissue disorders resulting from Cumulative Trauma Disorders (CTD), Repetitive Strain Injuries (RSI), postural strain, sports injuries and general wear and tear. Myofascial release is a state-of-the-art soft tissue system that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves. Headaches, back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, shin splints, shoulder pain, rotator cuff syndrome, golfer's and tennis elbow, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, knee problems, tendonopathies, epicondylitis, mechanical low back pain, and most sports injuries are some of the many conditions that can be resolved quickly, and most often permanently.
Sports Performance
By using a variety of techniques (such as Active Release Techniques (ART), Graston technique, Medical Acupuncture , custom orthotic fitting, spinal manipulation, PNF stretching, rehabilitative exercise, Registered Massage Therapy and kinesio-taping) we strive to help those, from weekend warriors to competitive athletes, to achieve optimal functioning and remain injury free.
